MAYA MELCHERS

I began working as a photographer in 2008, initially focusing on music, concerts, and artist portraits.

Around 2015, my practice expanded to include the documentation of art exhibitions and artworks, with special attention to fidelity, composition, and atmosphere.

I photographed most of the exhibitions at Japan House São Paulo and have collaborated with institutions and artists on projects that require a technical yet sensitive eye.

I'm also interested in curatorial work, exhibition design, and fine art printing—fields that complement my work and deepen my connection with images and exhibition spaces. The portfolio below highlights this area of my work.
